In a race which lacks speed Vinnie Vegas is drawn to get a nice run, he hasn’t had much luck recently in better races then this. With some slow beginners drawn on his outside he should be able to get enough room early to muster into a prominent position. The speed in this race will come from boxes 6 and 7, but neither of them are very strong at the end. If Vinnie Vegas is able to sit behind them he will take holding out.

SHEPPARTON:

ACE 8 NUMBER 1 ROCKET JOHN. ****

Rocket John has drawn perfectly in box 1 and is starting to live up to the promise he showed early on. With his main dangers drawn in the middle of the track with a couple of wide runners drawn inside them, Rocket John should be able to take full advantage of his box and lead early. With his main danger Halkin Bale (9) not likely to gain a run id be expecting around the $2.20-$2.40 mark for Rocket John.
